This is me

My name is Claudiu(o) Cristea, born and raised in Hermannstadt (Sibiu/ROU), but lived half of my life in Switzerland. Sport has accompanied me since I was six years old. I have more than 12 years of experience as a professional athlete. My sports career has taught me how to deal efficiently with stress but also with success, so that even in difficult situations I can always stay motivated and keep fighting.
Why sport mental coaching? As a child, I was very athletic from the start, I tried out a lot and then focused on football, where I then reached the top division as a competitive athlete. I took the first steps in the direction of training and coaching in sport with my studies, but also successfully completed my B.Sc. Sport Sciences, with a major in football, in 1996.
I learned that in sport but also in life, a lot has to do with your own attitude. Unfortunately, I couldn't really influence my performance, using mental tools, at that time, because those times were different and the sport psychology and mental training were not very well known. I realized very early how important mental training is, but have only come closer to this subject in the last few years, during my time as a youth football coach and especially since my son, got passionat about tennis.
Based on this thema I wrote an e-Guidebook for tennis parents "The Tennis Parent Coach" which can be found on Amazon.de. It deals with the steps that tennis parents need to take in order to enable the successfully start in tennis for their kids.
Professionally, I have been a IT manager for more than 20 years, have a degree in business administration (MBA) and and a B.Sc. in Sport Sciences. My goal as a sport mental coach is to guide athletes successfully towards fulfilling their sport goals.

Why mental training?

A purely physical conditioning is not enough anymore in professional sports if you strive to achieve steadily increasing performance. In addition to optimal physical preparation, the importance of mental training in sport has become increasingly important. Mental training enables you to develop, increase and use your performance potential. With a targeted mental training you get to know and consciously develop your own body and its resources. Through conscious perception of your own thought processes, relaxation methods before great stressful situations, through optimal preparation for competitions, through strengthening of your willpower and stamina during the competition, through targeted, inner imagination of upcoming tasks and right focus and concentration at the right time, you will achieve your optimal mental performance.

Price

A sport mental training or coaching lasts about 60 minutes and it usually takes place in my physical or virtual Coaching Room. Competition coaching or at the training location are also possible on demand.

* Adults hourly: CHF 120.–

* Juniors hourly: CHF 60.– (up to 18 years or age)

* 10 Lesson subscription Adults: CHF 1000.–

* 10 Lesson subscription Juniors: CHF 450.–

* Competition Coaching: a flat rate can be agreed
